Living in the city has it’s benefits; shorter distances to more amenities and conveniences, eating at a variety of restaurants, and having a choice between cable, phone and wireless internet. But it lacked that certain something we were yearning for; sitting outside listening to nothing but a gentle breeze and crickets, being able to see the constellations at night without the glow of a street lamp, elbow room from your neighbors. So we packed up and purchased our home on a few acres of earth and shortly started to establish Mohair Wranglers farm.

Our modest hobby farm is located in the town of Zillah, a small community nestled in the lush agriculture valleys carved between the hills and ridges of central Washington. We purchased our first colored angora goats in 2006.  We maintain a herd of ten does, three bucks and three wethers, all together sixteen sets of horns. Their color variations are from white to shades of black and apricot to browns.

Our herd of Colored Angora Goats enjoy the benefits living amongst apple and pear orchards, alfalfa pastures, and wine grape vineyards all the while gazing at the mountain ranges of Mt. Adams and Mt. Rainier. They also are in the company of four goat-bean eating dogs, a litter of unproven barn cats, and four garden fertilizer horses.

Mohair Wranglers farm is a registered breeder with the Colored Angora Goat Breeders Association and Todd & Lynn are certified registry inspectors.  Our farm has been tested for CL & CAE & Johnes and have been found to be negative.
